Abby's Organic Community Farm was founded on a simple but powerful vision: to grow healthy food, educate our community, care for the land, and bring people together through stewardship, generosity, and service.

That mission remains our North Star.

Over the past several weeks, the Board has been working through an important leadership transition. While change is never easy, it also provides an opportunity to strengthen our foundation and renew our commitment to Abby's vision. Our focus is not on the past—it is on building an even stronger future.

Although some aspects of the transition are still underway, including obtaining access to certain operational records and organizational resources, our commitment to moving the farm forward has never been stronger.

As your Board, our responsibility is not simply to govern the farm. It is to protect Abby's mission and ensure the farm remains healthy, sustainable, and welcoming for generations to come.

To strengthen the organization, we have already begun implementing several important changes:

• Four new Board members have joined, bringing additional experience, perspectives, and energy.
• The positions of President and Chairman have been separated to provide greater accountability, shared leadership, and healthy governance.
• The farm will operate over the next six months without a paid Farm Manager while we evaluate the best long-term organizational structure with input from our membership.
• We intend to expand the Board with additional members to broaden representation and ensure a diversity of voices helps guide the farm.

In the months ahead, members will see a renewed commitment to transparency, shared leadership, and open communication. We will begin providing regular updates on farm activities and financial summaries.

We also want Abby's Farm to truly feel like your farm.

The Board exists to protect the mission, but it is our members who bring that mission to life.

Trust is earned through consistent actions, not simply words. We are committed to leading with integrity, sound financial stewardship, open communication, and decisions that always place Abby's mission ahead of any individual.
