Discover the Buzz: Honey Bee Lab at Abby’s Organic Community Farm

Welcome to an unforgettable journey into the world of honey bees at Abby’s Organic Community Farm! Our Honey Bee Lab is a fun, interactive, and educational session designed for kids (and the young at heart) to explore the fascinating lives of bees, their vital role in nature, and their selfless nature. Perfect for families, school groups, or curious adventurers, this 90-120 minute experience blends hands-on activities, in-field discussions, and a safe peek into a real beehive.

Meet Your Beekeepers

Courtney and Avery, a dynamic mother-daughter duo, have been tending to bees with love and dedication for the past two years. Their beekeeping journey began at Abby’s Organic Community Farm, where they first dipped their toes into the world of honey bees during a hands-on honey bee lab. That experience sparked a passion that’s only grown stronger with time. Now, they’re proud to care for their own hives, nurturing these vital pollinators and harvesting nature’s sweetest reward. Inspired by that first class—just like the one you're reading about—they’re proof that beekeeping is a craft for all ages, from Avery at 8 years old to Courtney’s seasoned guidance.
